Lucys Showcase 2011

Its just amazing to think that Lucy has just finished her first year of College Drill Team! I admire her so much that she is still dancing. So many after High School dont. In fact shes the only one from her senior year last year that is still dancing on a team. It takes a lot to do it in college. Besides being on the team and doing her classes for college she is also working at a dance studio and teaches three classes. She also is teaching two private classes for little girls solos for competions. So she is not only keeping busy but teaching as well as being on a team herself. But shes very happy to have a job that she totally loves and has such a strong passion for.
Her showcase was wonderful. It was such a fun night to see all the dances again that they had done thoughtout the year. Heather and Dan and Jay and Jayson came down with us to see it. We had a fun couple of days and also got to enjoy the showcase. Emmalee had to go out of state to a family event so couldnt attend but it was nice having Jay and Jayson with us. Anyway heres quite a few pictures.

Its been a wonderful wonderful year and weve sorry to see it end. But it always has too, every year. lol. Tryouts are in a month and we really really hope she makes the team again. They have had over 70 people so far contact them with tryout info so its going to be a tough try out. They did a vote for officers for next year and Lucy tied even with one of the girls. It went to the old officer vote and she choose the other girl. Tough but lucy is still going to work with them to help them with putting dance routines together (if she makes the team of course). The officers that made it dont have to try out again and also get full scholarships so it would have been nice had she gotton in. lol. But its all good and we are keeping fingers crossed that she will make the team again as its been such a wonderful experience for her and she really wants to do it again next year.
