Longbeach CA Weekend Getaway

We had a wonderful time in Longbeach CA over the weekend. We flew out on the 6.30am flight out of slc to longbeach saturday morning and then flew home late sunday night arriving home around 11.00pm. Being only an hour and half flight we thought we were in heaven after our flights overseas. lol. And i have to say Jet Blue and Longbeach airport are both amazing. If any of you get the chance to fly to that area that airport is certainly the way to go, so small and easy to get around. Also JetBlue is an amazing airline. I love there planes and there customer service. Anyway we arrived around 7.30am and went and had breakfast and then drove to Garden Grove by Disneyland to meet Hayley and Aaron. They had arrived the wednesday before and did the disney thing before we arrived. We picked them up and went to Seal Beach where we walked the pier and walked around. It was a darling little place. I loved the condos on the beach, i would sure like one for a weekend getaway whenever i wanted. lol. We then went to lunch and walked around the World Market. Then we went on a tour of the Queen Mary. Its been ten years since we have done that and Aaron never had. It was exhausting as its huge but we had a really good time walking around and checking out everything. Then we drove to our hotel which was a Holiday Inn right next to Six Flags. After hot tubbing and a shower we all went out to the Outback Steakhouse. Yummy! We were all exhausted when we arrived back at the hotel and we all met up again in the morning. After breakfast we headed out to Six Flags for a very very busy day. I dont do rollor coasters but i had fun watching them all spinning around like idiots. lol. I also visited the gift shops why they were busy, lol. The day ended too soon and Ralph and I headed back to Longbeach for the flight home. The kids stayed another night and Monday Hayley flew back to Hawaii and Aaron flew to Idaho to spend a week with his family before he gets deployed for seven months next month. It was the first time we had met him and it was wonderful getting to know him and seeing who Hayley has been dating for almost a year now. Hes a wonderful guy and weve happy she has such a wonderful boyfriend. We hope to spend more time with him when he gets home in Dece. But yes he got our stamp of approval!!!!!!!!!!! I cant wait for the rest of the kids to meet him. Anyway it was a wonderful trip and we totally enjoyed it. Here are some pictures. Above is us at the steakhouse that evening.

Ralph, Aaron and Hayley off on there adventure.
The last picture of Ralph with his beloved hat. He lost it on that ride. That wasnt the worse part. Hayley also lost her cell phone on the same ride.

Hayley found a new friend aboard the Queen Mary.

We couldnt find the hospital, heres Aaron trying to find it for us. I had told him how cool it was and as a medic and half way though his RN he really wanted to find it. Sadly for some reason we couldnt. Sounds dumb but that ship is freaking huge!

It was so funny cause Ralph and i thought the weather was wonderful but the kids coming from Hawaii was freezing. lol.

These pictures were taken from Seal Beach.

Seal Beach Pier.

A wonderful trip and wonderful memorys. Miss Hayley and Aaron already and really hope that Aarons deployment goes fast so he can return to Hayley.
