Ralphs Mother

Yeserday on Jan 19th 2011. Ralphs mother and my childrens grandmother passed away. She had had knee surgery on Dece 27th 2010 and what should have been a routine surgery turned into pneumonia on Jan 1st 2011. After fighting it as long as she could she wanted all breathing machines turned off yeserday. She passed away about 30 mins later. Although Ralph and i got off work she passed away before we had even left the house. Lucy was with her as she lived in St George and so were other family members and she passed away peacefully with most of her family with her. It seems when Lucy spoke to her before they turned everything off that she for the first time that day got a big smile on her face and was happy Lucy was there. It is very sad that something that should have been routine turned into this. I have heard this happening many times before with some of our patients at work and its just very very sad that it happens. Im so very sad that my children once again during the same time of year have lost another grandmother. Although not very close to her she was there grandmother and they did love her very much. Her funeral is jan 24th and last year my mothers was on jan 25th. Life sure isnt fair sometimes. For those interested she has a viewing in St George on friday jan 21st beween 6.00pm and 8.00pm and her funeral is here in south jordan on monday jan 24th at 11.00am.
