The second part of our road trip we drove from Farmington NM to Lake Powell AZ. We stopped at Kayenta AZ where they have a museum of Windtalkers who helped during World War Two. We had fun looking around that and then we went on to Powell. Heather and Dan had gotton us amazing Lake View Rooms at the Lodge at Lake Powell. On line your see those rooms are 380.00 a night. Well due to her huge employee discount we got them for 55.00 a night. We had two wonderful meals with them in the evening. One at a great place in Page AZ and then one at the Rainbow Room in Lake Powell. Its where Heather works so we got a fifty per cent discount on that also. Its usually 30.00 plus a plate but has great food and i love it there. During the days we went to a bunch of different places, the beach, the marina, a tour of the Dam and many more. Here are some pictures from the two days we spent there. Above is us at the Rainbow Room. It has huge windows where you can watch all the boats and houseboats comming and going.
We stopped at Four corners on our drive beween NM and Lake Powell, and guess what it was closed!!!! lol. So Bill got his picture taken at the sign to at least proved that he had been there. lol.
Theres Heather and i walking in the front in green! Hm i wonder who Ralph was really trying to take a picture of here? This is on the marina.

Theres a store there where you can buy drinks. People will park there boats and jet skis and go in and then leave.
Okay we had some drama the last night we were there. This pic was taken from the balcony from Bills room. It not only overlooked the lake but also the swimming pool was right outside. A little boy almost drown there and in fact wasnt breathing for three minutes. It all happened so fast. They had to call in life flight to take him and his mum to flagstaff. It was very tense at the time but we belive the little boy was okay. He was screaming up a storm when they loaded him up so i think that was a good sign. Hopefully hes bragging to all his friends now about his trip in life flight. It was a quick reminder of how fast things can happen to little kids even when your watching them and how fast your life can change.

Heather has a new puppy, Here she is with Bill and Gracie her puppy. It was so hot we took her to the beach to cool off. ( the dog that is not Heather!!).
Heather and Dan at dinner in Page Az. Its hard to find a good place to eat there and we were thilled we did.

Heather and Dan at the Rainbow Room at Lake Powell. The waiter was awesome, of course a fellow worker of Heathers as she works there, but he was great. He asked us how we liked out future son in law!!!!!!! We told him we were thilled and loved him. Lol. Poor Heather and Dan. No wedding bells yet. There not in any rush. There happy right now.
