Dance Camp in LA CA 2010

This is the Rebelettes 2010-2011. Lucy is in back, third over. She totally loves her new team and had a great time at dance camp getting to know them all. She said its so much more relaxed and fun then the minerettes ever were. (No state title to worry about helps alot!!! lol). The dance camp itself was at the convention center near Disneyland and the hotel was just across from the center. Here are a bunch of pictures from her six day trip. Some are taken at the camp, some at dinner, some at newport beach, some at Huntington Beach and some others were taken in Cedar City where she stayed the night before camp.

Lucy at end in air with some of the Rebelettes on Newport Beach.

Shopping with the team, thats Lucy in front with the sunglasses.

Dinner time. Im sure you can spot Miss Lucy.
Lucys friend Shaylee, shes from Bonnivlle drill team. Lucy tried out with her in April and was thilled they both made it. There in the same apts also which will be fun. They drove up together to St George to meet the rest of the team. As they had to be there at 5.30am they stayed the night before in Cedar City with some friends of Shaylee.
The girls.

Lucy and Shaylee.

These pictures were taken in Cedar City before they headed to St George to meet the rest of the team.

Lucy loved the whole experience tho she said that her body was soooo sore as she hadnt danced for a few months and then 12 hour days were a killer. But she still loved every minute of it and is excited for the year to start. Dance class starts i think the 16th August and there first half time dance is Sept 4th, so they dont have too long to get there first dance together. Weve excited to drive down and see there first dance together as a new team.

  1. So fun! I wish Becca had a way to stay involved in dance...I miss watching her dance! I'm so glad Lucy is enjoying Rebelettes!

  2. Yeah its too bad that the girls reach there peak and then quit. Im glad Lucy decided to do Rebelettes. It will be so much more laid back and fun for her. Kinda like a reward for all the years of intense competions. Maybe Becca will do some dancing down the road, it is a shame to waste all that talent she has.
