Ive had a few people ask me about the picture at the top of my blog. So though i would explain. Yes five people have been photo shopped in. The three boys at the front who are my brothers sons and the couple in the back beween Lee and Ralph. They are my brother Steve and his wife Ann and of course the three boys Jack, Joe and Billy are there sons. The reason behind this picture is that my brother Steve was not able to come out at christmas like they wanted. We knew this would be our mums last and we wanted us all to be together, something we had never done for 25 years but my brother has his own business and like everything else it got slow and he wasnt able to come out. One of my mums wishes and something she kept on about the whole month she was out here was that she wanted a picture of all of us that she could have, as she had never had one. So Jay offered to photo shop them in for her. She was thilled. So on christmas day Caroles mum who was also with us took a bunch of pictures of us all. We took some normal ones and then some with spaces beween Lee and Ralph so that Jay could get them in there. We also told Steve to get pictures of his family that Jay could use. Well my parents went home and of course things went really fast at that time. My mum had to go into the hospital a few days after she arrived home and of course passed away two weeks to the day that she went home from us. Sadly with our concern and stress for her we never got to do the picture. It was still something she kept on about right up until the day before she passed away. While we were in England for her funeral Jay got to do the picture, so we printed one up for my dad and also one for my mum. We put the picture she had wanted so badly in the coffin by her heart. Also the one i have on my facebook profile was her fave picture of the two of us, so Jay photoshopped Ann in that one and that also went in her coffin with her. I know she was happy to finally get her pictures. So that is the story of the picture above and why it might look kinda odd. Tho odd it will always have very special meanings for all of us who are in it. It was a year ago today that we found out her lung cancer had spread to her brain and that they couldnt do surgery so shes been on my mind alot today and though i would share the story of her special picture. Its taken me till now to even be able to look at it which is why its not been there before. I think im ready now tho to blow it up and put it on the wall. One of these days i need to go though all our christmas pictures and make them into a photo book for myself and my dad as a memory of her last christmas.

This picture is also special. We had it done for our christmas card and yes Hayley and Ralph are photo shopped in it. (what a family we are!!). This picture is what gave my mum the idea of the other one. She loved this picture and because we never had the other one ready for her, she had this one in an 8x10 and in a frame by her bedside at the hospital. She bragged to everyone that would listen about her family in america. The one blessing i have is that with her brain cancer it confused her pretty badly at the end and she was sure that we were all there talking and visiting with her. When my dad went in the day before she passed away she told him that we had just all been there and had just left but that we were going back. I feel so bad that i didnt make it in time but im grateful she though i was there.
