Flake Cake Tradition

We started a few traditions with out new grandbabies. One is we buy them the travel system which comes with the stoller, car seat and base for car and another one is when we learn there preggie we get them a rocking chair and also buy a hamper. We slowly over the nine months fill the hamper with all kinds of baby goodies and clothes for all sizes. And also getting them a baby doll for the first boy and first girl. Its a lot of fun. And another great tradition is making a fake cake. The bottom layer is blankets and receivng blankets on the inside. The middle is baby vests and then the top we put a really soft baby toy. Above you can see Caroles on top of her hamper. Leland got a really soft light blue teddy and he really enjoys playing with it now. You can also kinda see the stoller in the background that we got him.
Well now its our new grandbaby thats due in five weeks turn. His name is going to be Jayson. Kinda funny that Lees firstborn is Leland and Jays will be Jayson. lol. Anyway below is his fake cake. His mummy and daddy are really into dragons so we hunted for a blue dragon. We did the base the same color as dragon to try and match it up as it was a different blue. But they loved it of course. There a lot of fun making and im going to make sure they all get a first boy and a first girl one. Today we took Jaysons to Emmalees baby shower.
