Day 6, Day At the PCC

Today saw us at the PCC on BYU campus. Hayley had lived on campus while attended BYU when she first went to hawaii. She also had worked at the PCC for awhile like most of the students. She wasnt totally happy there, the school really favors the island people and they get tons of grants and funding to attend school there. Hayley wasnt able to get any funding. If your from the mainland you have to fund yourself. She would watch why all the kids with there grants would buy all kinds of laptops with it and other toys while she had a stuggle buying bread and milk. It really didnt seem fair that some got more then they needed and others nothing. Also while working at the PCC she had to turn all her tips over at the end of the shift, so they too could be given to the same people!!!!!!!!!! Insane i know. Who wants to work for low income and then have to turn tips over to people who had so much more then she had, lol. So anyway she took a job at T mobile and they will pay for her tuition, but not at BYU. So she attends a college right now and then will transfer to the Hawaii universtiy in a year. Shes a lot happier now then she was in those days of having to turn everything over to the church, lol. But anyway the PCC was a pretty cool place. Its something at least for me that i would only want to do once but it was interesting and something you kinda have to see while here. The evening show was amazing and i loved it. Its called Breath of Life. If ever you get a chance to see it you should. We wasnt allowed to take pictures or anything in there tho. Anyway heres some pictures of the day.
P S Just wanted to make it clear (as per Hayley) that it was her choice to change schools. She really didnt like BYU and is much happier where shes at now. Also she said when she first arrived she did recd a small grant to start out with for the first semester.

Another wonderful day here in Hawaii.
