Day 5, Easy Day West Side Of Island

Today we decided to have an easy laid back day as we have been so busy since we have been here. We picked Lucy up (Hayley had to study for finals this week) and we spent the day at the beach near the condo. Its really nice as its not busy at all and mainly just locals there. Then we were lucky to find a Black Angus which is now called Cattle Company. They closed down in SLC a few years ago so we were thilled to find it. Its in Pearl City for anyone in the area. But everything was totally the old Black Angus and we loved it. I also brought Hayleys dog a huge bone in the hope of stopping it eating up her house. lol. When i gave it to him tho he was still more interested in eating my feet!!!!!
Ive had a few people asking me how i have time to keep this updated while im on vacation. Well. I am up at 5am due to our condo being so hot and the drapes in our room are thin, so once the sun comes up its like i have a dozen flash lights shinning on me, lol. If i try and sleep though all that light i would have a major headache the rest of the day. So i get up and blog to pass the time. Usually we head out around 9am and get back here around 10 or 11pm. We really couldnt spend anymore time in here even if we wanted too. Dont get me wrong. Its a beauitful condo and has everything you could possibly want in here. BUT! The rules are to keep windows closed in case when your out it might rain and get the drapes runied, so its so stuffy when you get back here. You cant breath in here. My dad just got out of bed and said he couldnt sleep, that it felt like he was in a sauna all night, and thats the correct word for it. We are not having problems with the weather at all. My dad has been pretty much everywhere in the world, He went on 14 cruises with my mum and they have been to Spain, South of France, Cyprus and many other places and he is used to heat. But even he said hes never stayed in a place thats so lacking in air before. Once outside the condo its fine. The weather is wonderful and theres usually a breeze. Its only when we are inside the condo. Hayleys house is fine as she keeps her windows open, even when shes gone. Its just the condo. If it was mine (which it isnt) i would put air condioner units in the widows and get shades on the window, those two things would make it awesome. And make it so i could have more then four hours of sleep a night. lol. The other draw back, at least for us, is that its the opp side of the Island from everything we are doing. We are spending at least 3 hours a day in the car driving. So thats a big pain for us also. If you wanted to just stay here and enjoy the beaches here then that would be fine but we have a daughter an hour away and i think we are burning tires back and forwards beween there, lol. That said we are very grateful we were able to rent this condo this week. But its hard having so much lack of sleep while on vacation so i admit we would pay the extra and get a hotel next time thats closer to where we need to be. Also hopefully it would have heavy drapes and air!!!!!!!! We figure the money we saved in condo, we paid in gas anyway, lol. But its all good. I will catch up on sleep when im in my cool, dark room when i get home thursday night. lol. Of course we have to get lucy to airport at 9.30am on saturday, lol. Oh well. Its all good. We are having a wonderful time here and we hope to come back in Jan for Ralphs 50th birthday for maybe just four or five days. (in a hotel, lol). This Seal was sleeping on the beach, it would get mad everytime a wave hit it and woke it up, but it didnt figure out to move. lol.

Its a really nice quite beach where its usually just locals so never packed.
Im not about to let anyone take a pic of me in my swim suit, lol, so Ralph had to take them with me in my cover up. lol.

At Hayleys house. Not sure what it is about me, but that darn dog hangs around me and really seems to like me!!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess the bones a little big! But hes only four months and is a Lab/pit mix and is growing like a weed. Im sure he will grow into it. lol.
He was more interested in me then the bone. lol.

Now Heathers going to want me to buy her dummy a bone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol
But anyway another wonderful day in Hawaii.
