Random Stuff

Just a bunch of random stuff for this post, things we were doing during all the other three posts crazyness. Picture of Lucy and i at the british pub in vegas watiing for our yummy food the week before christmas.

Going out to dinner with my sweetheart Ralph.

 Im mad this picture came out so crappy. We stopped by at Rebecca and Daniels wedding. She is a very sweet friend of Lucys and they were on Local Motions dance teams and Bingham Minerettes together for years. So have know this sweet girl for years. We love her and her family and were happy to swing by fast to see how beautiful she was on her wedding day. Lucy was unable to attend as she had her girls christmas show in st george so we tried taking a picture to send to her. Becca made a beauiful bride and shes a wonderful girl and we wish her and her hubs every happiness possible.

 This is Aaron our son in law in Hawaii figuring out there new baby stroller. With Carole and Emmalee (my daughter in laws) first baby we started a tradition of getting them the stroller and car seat and rocking chair. (among other stuff, like a hamper full of everything baby needed). Anyway we got the car seat a month ago. We ordered the one she wanted on Babies R US and they were able to pick it up there that evening. Anyway Hayley called me a few days before christmas excited and told me this stoller was 50.00 off. Reg price was like 250.00 so that was a big deal. I had been planning on buying it for her when i was in Hawaii in jan but couldnt let this go. Anyway to cut a long story short Aarons Mom in Idaho and his step Mom in Iowa both wanted in too. (that helped me a lot!!!) So it only worked out 70.00 each for each of the moms, i had been expecting to be paying with tax around 280 in jan so that was awesome. Plus it makes the stroller so much more special being from all three of his grandmas. So we all paid Hayley and her and Aaron were able to go get it right before christmas. Isnt it cute? Now we just have the Rocking Chair which she wants to hold off on until she gets to Maryland in the summer. Oh and if no one buys her the High Chair im sure i will get that also. She has the crib and a travel crib and a whole bunch of other stuff already. And all the other stuff are in the works for her showers!!!!!!!!! Baby Boy Bruening is going to be one spoiled little boy!!

This is Lee holding all my grandkids, lol. His own two kids Leland and Leanna and Jays son Jayson. I thought it was a cute picture. We should make Lee do this again in the summer with the two extra ones!!!! Jays second son is due around Feb 20th and Hayleys first son is due around April 24th. lol. Anyway just some fun things we have been up to in beween all the parties and christmas fun. Happy New Year everyone!

Christmas Day 2012

All i can say about christmas is one word. PERFECT!. It was just a great day. We slept in and had a fun breakfast with the kids, opened pressies and then got ready for the day. We went to Lee and Caroles to give them there gifts and then we came home and started dinner. Being British our big meal of the year is christmas day (like thanksgiving for americans) so its a big turkey day. (yucky ham is for you americans!). Jay and Emmalee came over with jayson for awhile and opened there gifts before they had to head for family events at her parents. Danielle came over and joined us again like she did on thanksgiving and we totally love her by the way, she really is like a daughter to me. Christmas dinner turned out perfect. Turkey, roast and mashed pototes, fresh veg, british stuffing (which is hundreds better then american stuffing), and british gravy. For desert we had british trifie. YUMMY! Couldnt have turned out better. We had great laughs and a great meal, Just perfect! After dinner we all crashed and watched the hunger games, i had never seen it but really enjoyed it. But yes it was just a wonderful day, just like christmas day should be. On wednesday which is boxing day for the british i did another yummy meal of pork chops and pototes and veg. That was a great hit also. Thanks guys for sharing this time with us. Love you all very much. (Three posts about christmas fun, whew!).
