One of the families that the minerettes did sub for santa too had a mom that only had a few weeks to live with cancer. The girls were going to reveal themselves to her on the 22nd dece. On the 17th they were asked by the family too do it earlier as they wasnt sure she would live till christmas. The girls did and sang the family christmas carols. There wasnt a dry eye among the girls singing to this wonderful family. They made sure this family with little kids had everything they needed for christmas and also did the 12 days for them. On the 22nd they went and visited with the family again as there orginal plan. The lady did manage to hang on and passed away last night. She left a msg for the girls to be given when she passed away. It was to thank them for making the last christmas she had with her family the best they had ever had and one her family would always remember. I think this has also been the best christmas for the girls also and one they will always remember. The life lessons they have recd from this service is priceless and as Thelissa said, it will help them be more thanksful for there own families one day. Our prayers and thoughs are with this family at this time.
The other family they did sub for santa too was a pg single mother of seven whos hubby just left her. They also provided a wonderful christmas for them and also raised two months of rent for her until money services could kick in and also food for two months.
Way to go girls!!!
Oh I am so sad. This is so tragic! I mean, I know they have been expecting it, but it is still so hard to think that this family is going through this. Bless the girls hearts for doing all they did. They did such an amazing thing!
