This day i took Ralph on his birthday pressie from me. It was a Island hop to the big Island. We had to get up at 4.00am to get our shuttle and flight to Hilo. From there we had a very interesting and fun day tour of the area of Hilo and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Here we are pictured in front of a crater. It is still very hot down there and active so we couldnt walk down there in case we disappeared.
This was at Rainbow Falls. We didnt notice that person until we looked at our pictures back at the hotel. We laughted and laughted.

Above was taken at Onekahakaha Beach Park. The sand there is black and green.
And this is Liliuakalani Gardens. Which i guess is some Japanesse gardens. They said they had some Barracuda in there. They said we would see them within five seconds if we put our hands in the water. But no one wanted to try it. lol.
As you can tell we covered a huge area that day and didnt get back from our flight back to our hotel till 9.30pm that evening. It was a very long day. We did stop twice to have two meals with the rest of our group we were traveling with. We were with Discover Hawaii and they were first class and i would certainly use them again. A long exhausting day but Ralph totally loved his other birthday pressie.
