New York Trip

Me sitting on a horse buggy before our ride around Central Park. It was nice seeing it in the summertime, its so pretty.

This past week saw Lucy in New York for a week and us for three days. She had tried out and made the Rockette Summer Camp in New York. It started out not too good for her as she left her laptop on the shuttle and although i called them within five mins of her getting off the bus it didnt help. They claim they had no trace of what bus was the one that dropped her off at a certain hotel at a certain time that day. Even tho she gave them her prepaid voucher they can not trace the driver. Had they contacted him when i called, maybe just maybe it was where she left it, under her seat. But here we are over a week later and they still claim they have to wait for the drivers to turn it into there lost and found. Very sore subject. There companys lack of customer service will make me never use them again. Next time i will take the yellow cabs to the hotel. Anyway other then that she had a wonderful week. Eight blisters on each foot but she loved it. Dancing in heels and learning all the Rockette routines was a great thill for her. They also educated her into what she needs to work on for try outs next year. They said the average girl trys out for four years before making it, so she wants to start next year. Alot of the Rockettes are married and some are in there late 20s. It was funny seeing her dance with girls that were as tall or taller then her, thats a new thing for us, lol. But she did amazing and weve so proud of her for making this camp, she was the only girl in Utah that did. Shes at the back on the right hand side. The girls in dresses are Rockettes.

It rained on the friday night we were there. I also got two bad blisters on my feet (lucy didnt feel sorry for me) but we had walked for like eight hours that day and i had flip flops on, lol. I couldnt stand on one foot by 7.00pm so we called it a night. I was really mad as there was so much i wanted to do but just couldnt do it. We were all exhuasted anyway but i hated wasting the evening.

I though this was the most funny thing to see. They looked like the KKK. lol. It was raining so they were wearing them. lol.

It was so much fun riding around Central Park in the horse buggy. But we couldnt stop thinking about the Kramer one. lol.

I guess this is the book of mormon show and the church never to miss a golden moment had there missionarys outside with a table giving people a book of mormon as they left. lol.

We went to the top of the rock and i made it this time to the 70th floor. Last time i couldnt go above 68th. I dont like heights so its a big thing for me to do this stuff. lol.

Last time we were there the traffic was still allowed to drive though here. Now there not allowed too, Made it so much nicer.

I cant tell you how wonderful it was to see Lucy do those amazing Rockette Routines that i love so much and also to spend a few days in such a wonderful city with her and Ralph. It was wonderful. I wish we had had time to see a show but Lucys was all we had time to see but certainly well worth it. I have a feeling that with Lucys plans to try out for the next few years that we will be spending quite a few fast trips there over the next few years.
