Opps! She did it again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay last night was full of drama at the basketball game and not from the players or cheerleaders, but the dancers and hmm, well just Lucy really!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lucy was having a really good night, sidelines went great, time out dances went great and then fast change of clothes for the half time dance. Routine went great and then Lucy did her thing where she comes up from the side of the girls, does a leap in front of them and then finishs in center front. She does it really good which is why they choose her to do it. But last night didnt go too well. She landed on the correct foot but somehow her other foot rebounded giving her a AFT sprain. Everyone that heard it pop as she landed just watched with open mouth as she finished the routine and didnt let her body collapse until she got off the floor. While some of her team mates dragged her off (as she couldnt walk by then) too the med room where they take the injured players, the other team mates rushed to the dressing room to get her inhauler thinking she was having asthma problems. lol. No her breathing was fine, lol. It was very scary for us being high up in the stands with no way of getting to her and watching her being half carried away. It wasnt like we could run onto the floor in the middle of the basketball players and rush back there, lol. So we sat there worried sick waiting for our phones to ring or for someone to get us. We saw her coaches run back there and after about five mins one of her team mates came running up to get us and take us down onto the floor and to the back of the arena. The guards there have it chained off so you cant get onto the floor. lol. She was doing okay, she had a few tears but nothing major and we were just glad nothing was broke. She had broke both her ankles during her junior year on minerettes and what with the rebelettes going to Hawaii in eight days we were hoping she hadnt broken anything. She had a sports med person working on her foot and pretty soon we were able to take her home. She will go see the sports med person everyday to have her work on her foot. She said it should be healed within two to four weeks. She will be out of the games this upcoming thursday and saturday but hopefully will be able to dance in Hawaii in two weeks and do showcase in three weeks. After that dance is over for awhile for her so she just needs to get though the next three weeks. What really sucks is that she was suppose to teach a little girl her solo on monday but has to put that off till end of the week. She also teaches three dances classes on wednesday evenings but should be able to have a student teacher help her with her classes. So hopefully it will work out. Maybe i havnt mentioned that she teaches three classes and two little girls there competion solos but anyway she does and she totally loves it. Its a studio called Dance Alliance in St George and there competion teams are called Southern Stars. She really loves helping little girls become better dances, also one of her classes is an all boys hip hop class.
Anyway thats her sorry story of the weekend. Im glad we were there as the week games we cant make so glad we were there to help her as she is in a lot of pain right now. It was a nice weekend even tho we had the drama of her injury. Glad its just a small one and nothing major. She has wonderful coaches and you could see how concered they were for her. Its nice she has such wonderful people looking out for her all the time.
