A STRESSFUL DAY

Its been a stressful day while my mum has been in surgery having a lung biopsy to find out what kind of tumor she has. Its not helped by the fact that shes properly three thousand miles away. (And also the fact she has COPD). Our thoughts have been with her all day and i drove home at lunch time so i could call my dad to find out how she is doing. It would be wonderful to be able to take for granted driving to support your parents or even being able to call from work but both are out of our reach. So i went home lunch time. It was after nine pm there time and my dad had just arrived home. He told me mum was still in the hospital because her lung had collapsed during the biopsy. The doctor told her hes only ever had one other case of that and it was something we wasnt hoping for of course. My dad said she is doing well and was being taken care of wonderfully by the staff there. She had found the biopsy very painful (who wouldnt) but had handled it well. Hopefully she will be able to come out of the hospital soon. It really sucks not being able to visit her or even call her on the phone there. I also feel really bad that my dad has to handle this alone too and that i cant be with him to sit with him while hes waiting at the hospital during the surgerys. It sucks more then any words i could say. We properly wont have the results of the biopsy for a week but we have her name on the temple roll here and also my brothers wifes mom has her name in there church. She has a lot of people of different faiths praying for her. We are hopefull that all will be well.
