New team of 2009/2010

Sadly our team has to change. We didnt want it to as we love our seniors so much and some of them have danced with lucy since she was a little girl at other dance studios. But it has to happen of course. They had to have try outs this week and a new team was chosen for next year. The most shocking thing is that it was lucys last tryouts and she will be a senior next year. Its gone so fast. Every thing she does from now on will be for the last time for the whole year!! At least with the new team we got to keep two sets of great families as both families although having girls leaving had other girls who tried out and made the team so weve happy to still have them in our dance family. This is a great program and weve happy that lucy is part of this. Although expensive as a father said last night, it can be more expensive not having your kids busy and involved with something in high school. Boy is that true. lol. But i hate waiting for the paper to go up outside the dance room with the names of the girls who made the team. Although not worried about lucy its heartbreaking to see the girls who dont make the team. They always break down of course and its just breaks your heart knowing years of dreams have been shattered for them. Most girls that try out have been dancing since they were three and have wanted to be on this team for properly five or more years. Lucy i know decided when she was six years old she wanted on the team, alot of girls are that way and its terrible seeing the ones who didnt make it. After the names went up, the girls had pictures. In the first one is the new team, seniors in back, juniors in middle and sophmores in front. In the middle picture is karly our wonderful president giving her fareware and welcoming the new team. In the last picture is the new team with the old seniors that are leaving in the front. It was a fun but very sad evening.

We still have just one more event with the old team which is our year end banquet at the end of the month. Then the new team starts pratice in May. And of course the fundrasiing will begin again. I belive out first car wash in May 16th, i will keep it posted. lol. (Like i said everything we do will be for the last time this year. lol.).

P S Lucy was thilled that one of the sophmores is as tall as her!!! So she wont be alone being the tallest this year. lol.
