We have been very spoiled the past two years with five trips to Hawaii in less then two years. It helps of course having a daughter that lives there. The first trip was in a condo that was in the hood of the island and wasn't so nice to stay in due to the distant it was from everywhere we went. Then the next two trips we stayed in Waikiki in hotels on the beach. We liked that a lot even tho it was very busy with a lot of tourist. Then in jan we stayed in the Marine base at Hayley and Aarons home and they have a darling home and that was a lot of fun. This time there furniture was being moved out to ship to Maryland while we were there so Aaron got us a family cottage on the beach on base. It was only five mins from there home and was just lovely. We had to drive across the airstrip to get to it lol but it was all good. Below you can see Hayley and Aaron standing on the deck of our cottage and the wonderful view we had. It was a perfect place, who knew the military provided so well for the families of the military. This visit was to visit our grandson Ian. He wasn't due till April 24th so we booked for May 9th. We wanted to give Hayley two weeks over her due date to make sure he was born. Of course he ended up coming almost a month early on April 1st lol. He was five weeks old when we got there and hes just amazing of course. Here are some pictures of our first day there. There will be about five posts I think and this is the first one. lol.

Just arrived but we went for a walk around base. Its a beautiful place.
Finally meeting Ian was just amazing. He is the cutest little baby ever. So funny to have a blond, blue eyed grandson. All my kids and other four grandkids are brown hair and eyed lol. All above pictures were taken on base, at the cottage or at Hayley and Aarons home. Oh or from the plane.

Aw you guys look so happy to see him!!
