Dog Swim Day And Dad Drama

The weekend was way to short for everything that we fit into it. lol. We had to drive to Elko and back on sunday to bring home Bootstrap Bill our cat who had been studding in Ca. Our car was having problems, so much so that we are lucky we made it home. Cory has been driving me to work since and it goes in shop tomorrow. So very grateful we were watched over so much this past weekend. Saturday was very eventful. We started the day by Ralph and my dad geting there flu and whooping cough shots at my work. Dad also had his INR checked while he was there. It was normal. Then we headed off to the doggie swimming day that Sandy does every year. It was a lot of fun. We just love it. They do it for two weeks in a row but this weekend we will be in St George so cant go a second time. But we had a blast. It was such a hot day and there was no shade there, that was the only downside, although for us we were just fine. But it seems my dad wasnt and he didnt speak up. He had left his hat at home and he has a history of getting overheated when not wearing a hat. I dont know how that works but thats how it is. lol. Anyway we had been there for around an hour and then he calls me and he says. Deb, Can you take me to the car i feel a little dizzy. So im like, Oh yeah hold on. I then take about three steps to Ralph and suggest we leave and then take another three steps to Heather to tell her we are leaving. All took just seconds. I then turn around and head over to dad who is standing by a wall. I notice right away that somethings not right. I rush over there and say, Are you Okay? He says. Somethings not right! And he grabs ahold of me and starts falling. I yelled for Heather who was closest and Dan came charging over just in time. With my back im not able to hold a dead weight human it seems. Dan pretty much took dads whole weight at the same time holding his head and we somehow stopped him crashing to the floor. It was clement so could have been bad. (dad did this once in england and hit his head and woke up in hospital). Anyway everyone was great. We had people rushing over, the lifeguards took over until 911 got there and they checked him for a stroke (as thats what i had though was happening at first, so scary) and took all his vitals. His ekg did show his normal AF but everything else came back normal. He declined going to the hospital and we took him home. It was very scary and im so glad he didnt fall before i got to him. He had been fine just moments before. It happened so fast. Heather was very glad they didnt take him to Alta View ER as thats where she works all week. lol. Shes like. I would have to have gone on my day off. lol. Shes an xray asistant waiting to get into the xray program. Anyway yeah it was a very busy eventful day and weekend with a lot of drama. Whew! But we did all go out to dinner that evening to make up for it and dad was fine to go out and eat. lol. Its funny as at first i had thought about if i could handle watching dogs and grandkids by a swimming pool (lee had dropped leland off to us) , little did i know i would have to also deal with dad passing out on the floor while we had kids and dogs to watch, lol. Fun Times! But that aside we did have a nice time there and will go again. On way home Lelands like. Bill forgot his hat huh? lol.

Above picture was taken just mins before he passed out by the wall behind us, just crazy.
