We took a four day trip to Vegas last week. We had a really great time. We went to the Secret Gardens and saw some amazing Tigers and Dolphins there. I could have stayed there all day. We also went to Hoover Dam so Ralph could drive over the new bridge there. Him and Dad also walked over it. I sat that one out, I really dont like heights at all. We also went to the top of the Stratosphere. Did i just say i didnt like heights? Its crazy cause i dont and in the last year Ralphs talked me into not only that but the Rock in NY, Space Needle in Seattle and Diamond Head in Hawaii. What part of I dont like heights is he missing????? Anyway Ralph went on the ride at the top (ALONE) and it was fun even tho i couldnt get too close to the windows. We also saw two shows Donny And Marie and Celine Dion. Both were excellent shows and i totally loved them. My dad was amazed at Donny and Marie and couldnt belive how good they was. Blah! I always knew it!!! Cory gave us a scare when we first arrived. He got food poisoning and called us up really sick. I called my work that was full but our wonderful doctor Dr Christenson who wasnt even working that day but had stopped by said he would see him. So his girlfriend Dani took him in and boy was he sick. He had to have blood work, xrays the lot. His blood count was down. I guess he also almost passed out during the blood work poor guy. Dr C is just amazing. He called me in vegas asking for Corys phone number to check on him that evening and called Cory and gave him his personal cell number to call him if he got worse as we were out of town. He thought he might need to go and get some IV if he couldnt keep anything down. Dani dad works in the ER and was working that night tho and was going to give him IV if needed so he really was well taken care of beween Dani family and Dr C. Im so grateful for them all for the love and care they gave him while we were gone. Heather also did us proud. She had told us about this British Pub in vegas that we never knew about. Called Crown and Anchor British Pub. I have always swore that the pubs in england do the best food. Well we went there one night and OMG i want to move to vegas now!!!!!!!!!!!! The sausage roll was to die for. If ever anyone is there GO, you dont have to have a beer and you wont go to hell for being there!!!!!! But the food you will love. I had the sausage roll and fish n chips, they had all my fave meals on the memu i was going crazy not knowing what to order!!!!! I think when we do the football and basketball runs this year to st george i may have to take a detour there to eat. HA HA. I might suddenly become more of a visitor to vegas. A lot cheaper then flying home for the good food right? The second night we were there my dad treated us to a real treat. He took us to Mortons Steakhouse. Whew 60.00 steaks before you add other stuff on your plate but what a treat that was too. Thanks dad!!! I must say thats not something we will do often but it was by far the best steak i have ever eaten. EVER. And most not forget Dan who also did us proud by letting us have his employee discount at the Marriott. Lovely rooms. I may have to just pay full price when he leaves as im too used to Marriotts now to stay anywhere else. lol. Anyway as you can tell our trip was wonderful. Loved it. I cant wait to head that way again for a sausage roll and more fish n chips!!!!
