Rebs Round Three And Final Year

Well Lucy went to her third and final dance camp in LA with the Rebs this past week. This time she went as there president which was a lot of fun for her. Because she has the condo she had all the girls driving in from out of town stay the night before so they could all bond before they went. It also helped them not having to get a hotel or find somewhere to stay like we had to do with Lucys first year.She had a great time and it seems strange once again reporting that this is her third and last year as i remember saying that with her high school drill team and it seems so long ago. We had no idea until two months before she tried out for a college drill team three years ago that that was what she planned to do. We are happy we have had an extra three years of dance to enjoy with Lucy. It always seems sad that girls finish high school at top peak of dance and then quit. Who knows what area Lucy will go in. This next year will be hard with being president on a team and dancing herself, Teaching a high school drill team and also teaching competion teams at a studio. And remember she also is in school and has classes and homework. She never has much time for a personal life, with dance she never has but thats the way she loves to be right now, busy with dance which is her whole life and passion. She is planning on trying out for Rockettes next year. We have heard you often have to try out three or four times to make it (thats if you even make it) but regardless if she makes it or not its something she wants to try for and im all for helping her reach her dreams if i can.  Lucy is in orange dress on Newport Beach above. And here above she is with her roomate Miranda and co president of the Rebs. Miranda used to be on Davis drill team when Lucy was on Binghams at high school. They are great friends and were roomates last year also. Both will be third year members of the Rebs this year.

 The above is the pool at Lucys condo. You can see the condos above. They are really nice. So nice to have her out of the student housing with all the drugs and partying going on there.

 This lady cracking up with Lucy is Kori. She has been the Rebs coach for 16 years since she was a Reb herself. I cant say enough good about this lady. She has been such a great role model and friend to Lucy the past two years and has helped her though some really rough times. When Lucy decided to go back to school 18 months ago when she walked out for a week, Kori was there to mother her and watch her and take care of her. I was terrified sending her back but i put all my trust in Kori and she didnt let me down. Shes a wonderful person and i love the relationship Lucy and our family has always had with her.

So sad to think that once again this is her last year. But its going to be an amazing one. I hope some of you can join us at her last ever showcase in March.
