We used to take the kids to stadium of fire every year. It was nice to see Olive and George Osmond who i loved dearly and had been in my ward in england. Plus it was always a great show and a great fun thing for our kids to do. The last time we went tho was twenty years ago right after Lucy was born (so lucy and cory missed out). It got too expensive for us at that point with so many kids but hopefully the older four have great memorys of our times there. Anyway the last time we went Lucy was a month old to the day. It was a very hot day and she was very fussy!!!!!!!!!!! Luckily my parents were with us to help with our five kids. (potty breaks and fussy baby can be hard when your in a stadium that big). At that one it was the Beach Boys 30 year Show. Well this year was there 50 Year Show, they have not been there since and nor has Lucy. But she was there this year. Not as a fussy baby thankfully but as a director of the dancers. She had to be there for three days before the event from 6.00am to 11.00pm. Crazy! But the show had to be just right. Her boss at the dance studio she works at paid for her to stay in a hotel closer to the event so we didnt see her at all during that time. The funny thing was Julie her boss also was at the one 20 years ago but as one of the dancers. lol. Anyway Lucy had a lot of fun and totally loved it. The fires caused her asthma some major problems being outside in it so she wore a mask the first few days. Lol. Dont she look great? Anyway heres some pictures that i found. Oh this was her dance studio girls not her hs drill team girls. Going to be confusing i know from now on.
Look who she found there? Miranda!. Her roommate in St George and fellow co president of the Rebs of Dixie college. Miranda is at home right now for the summer but will be moving into Lucys townhouse next month. They will be very busy running the Rebs next year but have great ideas for the team. Lucy though she was really cool in her Stadium Of Fire Director T-Shirt!!!
Lucy must be related to me!!!! She couldnt find her car one night at midnight. Her boss Julie took these pictures. lol. One is of her trying to find her car and the other is after she took a wrong turn. lol. She must have been exhausted or something! Anyway her little girls did an amazing job. I think i will try and go to the show next year as she can get group tickets with her studio. I just couldnt do the Beach Boys again this year!!!!!
Oh that last picture should have been with her friends wedding post but i just got it and though i would throw it in here. Its a cute picture. Thats Miranda next to Lucy. (opps side of bride).
