The Now Charmed Life of Cory

Well since all his five brothers and sisters have moved out in the past five years Corys life is now very different. Hes gone from being the youngest of six children at home too the only child!!! A role i think hes enjoying quite a bit. For starters he now has the choice of four bedrooms to choose from instead of having to share a room with Jay. (Tho he misses jay and claims Emmalee has runied his life by taking jay away and marrying him!). He moved this week into the largest of the rooms down in the basement. It also has a nice queen size bed in it, with his 6ft 5in and still growing frame, he really needed that bed. So that was a nice plus for him. lol. He also really likes the fact that when i go shopping and stock up on all his fave drinks, snacks and food, that he dont have to share or worry about anyone else getting into while hes gone. He also likes the fact that he gets all our attention and dont have to share with another five demanding people! And i think the part he likes the most is that when Ralph and i go out to dinner we will suggest he comes with us. He has discovered Texas Roadhouse and boy does he like that!!!!! We took him there the night before we left town to go and see Lucys first Rebelette dance. We had a really nice evening just the three of us. Food was yummy and we had a lot of laughs. Yeah he really likes the perks of now being the only child!!!!! Hes still got two more years of Riverton HS left and has a bunch of really cool friends in our neigbourhood that he hangs out with every day. Life is good for Cory these days, he is an amazing young man and weve happy to have some one on one time with him. He enjoys being able to invite his friends over when we go out of town overnight to do Lucy stuff. Although we always invite him along, its not something he wants to do. Hes never enjoyed the dancing stuff his sisters were involved in. He prefers to stay here and hang out with his friends. On most weekends him and his dad are out doing there fave hobby which is shooting. He has the best aim in the neighbourhood, just ask any of the men in our ward. lol. The men in the ward often go out together to shoot and have shoot outs. Anyway that is Corys new charmed life. One that hes really enjoying. Another very cool perk is that hopefully hed be able to come to England with us next year and also to Hawaii. Alot easier when just one kid at home. Anyway again, thats the latest on Cory. He hates having his picture done so very rare if i can ever get a picture of him on here.

  1. I remember those days. Only I think I was 14 when I was the only child. I got to watch whatever I wanted on TV and no one bugged me. It was great. Then the grandkids would always come over. I loved that too. I got really used to being left alone that it was weird living with a bunch of girls at first! Sharing a bathroom was the weirdest part haha!
