Lucys Graduation Day

Wednesday Lucy graduated from Bingham High School. We are so proud of her for being able to do so, she did everything she wanted to in hs, inc being a minerette and getting a state ring. It will be something she will carry and remember all her life that she was able to do it. Dancing the hours a day that she did and still keeping above the grade she was required to have is something anyone should be proud of.
Above is Lucy of course. The funny thing is the lady shes with is a lady whos high up in Jordan School district. I dont think she remembers Lucy but when Lucy was in 5th grade, i refused to send her and her brother Cory to the elem school they were at anymore due to i felt very extreme unfair treatment of them. This lady although at first on the side of the elem school, when listen fairly to my side of things and checked out some issues with others, defended us a hundred per cent and agreeded that it was in there best interest to change elem schools. Which she arranged. Maybe i should send her this picture and thank her for her help many years ago. lol.
Above is Lucy on the big screen. Luckily Jay was able to get these pictures when it was time for her to go up front. Right as she started walking everyone around us started moving around and taking pictures of there familes and Ralph couldnt get a picture, lol. Luckily Jay was there and has a better camera then us anyway and took these pictures for us. Thank you Jay.

Ralph, Lucy and i. We were standing on the steps outside UVU.

Proud mum with her beauitful daughter.

We are always thilled when family wants to come and sit though very long graduations with us, lol. Our kids (though no thought of there own) are not close to there grandparents over here so have never had them want to attend any of there graduations. There grandparents do attend there cousins but again thats something that is totally up to them, there choice whos they wont to attend and who they want close relationships with. Heather did luck out on hers as my parents were visiting so she was able to have grandparents at hers. Oh and Hayley did graduate with two of her cousins so i belive they were there somewhere in the crowds, tho not sitting with us. lol. But usually at each of our kids someone will come and support them. This time it was Jay and Emmalee. That was really nice of them as she is due to have a baby anytime and plus graduations are very very long. lol. But anyway i though the above picture was really cute. Thanks for comming guys.

Lucy walking down stairs. So glad Jay was there with his wonderful camera. Ours wouldnt take pictures that close up.

Lucy is 5th girl over with the long dark hair.

What Lucy wore under her graduations clothes.

Lucy and her best friend Ruth. They are going to college together in August. Ruth is a super special friend, although shes not a dancer herself she is Lucys biggest fan. Not once has she ever done anything but encourage and support her, even tho it means she often couldnt do things or be there for Ruth when she had pratice or competions. I know that not everyone has a friend that dont moan about time taken away from them (when there on a team) and not once did Ruth try to talk Lucy out of trying out for the Rebelettes. In fact Ruth went to try outs with us and cheered her on from the side lines and was thilled she made the team. Not once was she worried it might take time away from her. In fact poor Ruth is having other Rebelettes live with them in there apts. lol. Shes a great friend and im glad she is going with Lucy to college. I know she will never complain about her dancing and will always support her.

Lucy and Ruth again. I cant keep up with them, three months ago, Lucy was blond and Ruth was dark and now its the other way around. lol.

Lucy, Ruth and friends.

Lucy, Ruth and there other bestest friend Eden. Eden is two years younger but is ahead at bhs so will graduate early, properly next year. And then will join them at dixie. She also is a wonderful gal and came with us to our Lake Powell family trip last summer. Her dad was a wonderful supporter of our many fundraisers and would often buy four tickets for everything she did, lol.

We were hoping that with all the walking up and down those stairs that Emmalee would go into labour, but no of course she didnt. lol.

Well theres her graduation day. We couldnt be prouder. We all went to Red Robin in provo afterwards for dinner and it was lots of fun. Weve had all five of our six kids graduate so far and we are so proud of them and the fact that they have all gone on to get college degrees. We just have one more whos Cory of course and he will graduate Riverton in two years.
Congrats Lucy! Now your life is just starting. Love you so much.
