Yay! She did it!!!!!! Way to go Lucy!!!

Today Lucy went from being a Minerette to a Rebelette. Yes she got a letter from Dixie college letting her know she had made the team. She is sooo excited. She has to go for a lunch and meet the team in two weeks and then shes required to take a dance class locally during the summer to keep up her skills but other then that she wont see the team again till july 15th when they take off for dance camp to Los Angeles for a week. The exciting part of that is that the dancers from the LA Lakers are also attending that dance camp so shes really excited. During the year they stand on the sides at all football and basketball games (no there not cheerleaders, they do have those also) and they get to come out and dance a few times during the games. Then they get to travel to Hawaii with the basketball team (not football team like i mentioned in earlier post) next March to dance during a basketball game beween Dixie and byu Hawaii. That part shes really excited too, moreso as Hayley attends that school (tho shes talking about going to a different college in Hawaii as her work will pay for it for her if she does) so she will get to hang out with Hayley also. Then they have a showcase at the end of the year just like minerettes and other drill teams do. So it will be tons of fun for her. Im so happy she made the team and gets the chance to still dance as its such a big part of her life. Shed always be a minerette but being a rebelette is going to be so much fun for her and im excited for her new adventure. Oh and a friend she made at tryouts also made the team too so thats also great news. They are going to stay in the same apts as each other, so instant friend.
