We had the first annual Powell trip last weekend. This year we didn't have a lot of time to plan so we decided to go to Yuba Lake. Now I hate camping so I kinda cheated. I stayed at a hotel in scipio for the nights lol. Nothing beats having a hot shower and a ten hour sleep in a comfy bed after camping all day. lol. Friday was really hot so I was happy to get to the hotel that night. Saturday was a lot cooler but perfect during the day. Sadly during the night Friday a cold wind came in almost taking down all the tents. I guess the wind was so bad that no one slept. Also the campers around us didn't too and like others camping that weekend we decided not to stay another night in case it happened again. Ralph who is a camper said he has never know winds like it and it was terrible. So grateful for my hotel room. I had never stayed at a hotel by myself before but oh so worth it. lol. I understand the big tent almost blew into the lake with baby seth in it and Heather had something like a huge bush blow on her and knock her to the ground at the same time Emmalee was holding onto the tent and her baby inside for dear life. Everyone left Heather and rushed to help Emmalee lol. Sorry Heather, Seth won. So I missed some fun, too bad no one took pictures of that. But it was fun and next year we are talking about doing a week in Flamming Gorge in august when Heathers out of school where they have cabins for those that would rather do it that way (Me Me!!). 
Um you should do the trip when we're in town...
