Ian William Bruening, Grandbaby Number Five Has Arrived

We are soo soo excited to let everyone know that Ian William Bruening is here. He arrived on April 1st 2013. (over three weeks early). In fact because it was April fools day we didn't belive her at first!!!!! Hayley is our jokers child. If anyone gets you on april fool it will be her. So I was kinda waiting for her this year. She calls me around 3.30pm to tell me shes at the hospital, waters broke and shes at a 4. Yeah right I said, me not dumb, its april fools day right!!!!She couldn't stop laughing at me which made me more sure it was a joke. She then had Aaron come on the phone to tell me it was true. I could hear Hayley laughing in the background. Me being smart worked out that Hawaii is four hours behind so it was Aarons lunch time there, I remembered when we stayed with them in Jan that he would be home that time for lunch. Me not dumb right!!! So I told him he needed to send a pic to prove it. She sent me a pic of an arm with a band on it with the date and her name. Hmm I thought Aaron is a corpsman in the US Navy so I wasn't buying that. I text them and told them. Good try but Aaron could rig that easily right. Me not dumb! After I sent the text I though. Oh wait theres her tat in the corner of the picture. That is her arm. Hmm! Then another picture came. Hayley sitting in a hospital bed pulling me a face. Hmm maybe its true!!! So I decided I better believe them. She then called up Heather and Lucy and went thought the same with them. Its april fools day after all and baby is almost a month early. She also went though it with her friend Michelle who she left her dog with. She thought she was being fooled too with needing a dog sitter. Poor guys, no one believed them on the most important day of there lifes. Rest of day was fun. She kept me posted everytime they checked her and when she was ready to push. It was almost as good as being there. (hmm, not but oh well, lol). Then came the best part. A picture of our new Grandson. So exciting!!! Ralph text her and said. Okay, we believe you now!!!! lol. We are so excited for them. Of course we have our flight and everything booked for May 9th. We felt so sure that he would be a week late lol. So its going to be a long five weeks. But she sends me pictures everyday and videos of him and we Skype. And we will be spending mothers day together which we havnt done for about four years so all is good. But im so in love with this little boy and cant wait to hold and kiss him. Hes so cute. Hes his daddys double, its uncanny. My kids and all my other grandkids are dark with dark hair and this little guy is a blondie. How fun is that to have one so totally different from the others. lol. Hes going to be one spoiled little boy. They will also be visiting us in June for a week during there move from Hawaii to Maryland and Ralph will be blessing him on fathers day. We are so excited and Ralph feels so honored to do that. Our other grandson Seth will be blessed by his father Jay on May 5th so two in a row. How awesome is that. We feel so blessed to have these two new grandsons in our life and hope we can be the best grandparents ever to them.

 The hardest part for me was not being able to take her flowers and that meal when home. Soo I got in touch with one of her best friends on base Chelsea and made a plan. I order above flowers over phone at the flower shop on base and Chelsea went and picked them up and took them to her. They loved them and wasn't expecting it at all. Then first night home I ordered over phone Pappa Johns on base (what don't they have on base) and Chelsea picked that up and took it to them too. That made me feel better and they loved it. I ordered a pizza for Chelsea and her family too as she had been so good to do all the running around for me.
