Last weekend was just amazing. Ralph and i went down to see Lucy dance for the last time with her beloved Rebs. Although she had been asked to return for a 4th year and it was hard to turn it down, she really felt that she needed to move in another direction this next school year. We have always supported all our kids a hundred per cent in any decisions they make and of course support this one. What a thill it was to see her dance at showcase with her team one more time. It seemed like every dance was choreograph by Lucy and taught by Lucy etc. (no wonder they wanted her back!!!). Also her little girls the Southern Stars/Dance Alliance did there competion routine. Also choreograph and taught by our Lucy. lol. It was a wonderful evening. We are so proud to have sat though six of these wonderful showcases showing her talent. Three with high school and three with college. Her skill and talent as a dancer and as a coach/teacher and choreographed always just amazes me. What a beautiful ending. In fact that was the theme they had for this years showcase. A Beautiful Ending!! The first year i recorded on a family blog that was taken down before i saved that year. Im sure one day she will like to read back and see her crazy drill life. lol. Anyway heres the pictures.
Above picture is of coaches Kristy and Kori and then the co presidents Miranda and Lucy and secretary Hailey. Love love love those coaches and girls. Lucy and Miranda have been roomates for two years now and will be until Aug when Miranda gets married. Hailey is staying with the team next year as one of there presidents. Hailey is one of the coaches of Dixie high school drill team who are of course big rivals with Lucys team the Desert Hills drill team who she coaches. But the girls are best of friends.

Lucy and her escort for the evening Taylor. He got to dance with her and also in the guys dance. In her first year her escort was one of the kids who was killed in the plane crash in st george last may. Very heartbreaking for her. Taylor was Mirandas escort last year so he must like hanging out with the Rebs. lol.
Lucy and her three roomates, two are not on rebs but always are at any events to support Lucy and Miranda. Great girls, No one could have asked for better room mates then Lucy has had for past two years.

This one above was the alumiu dance. Every year the team of the year before does a dance. Of course Lucy was in this one also as she was in the team for three years. Next year she will get to dance in the alumiu dance at showcase. Lucy standing up on right.

She took over the other classes for Lucy (at lucys request) in jan as Lucy is so busy with the desert hills drill team. But Lucy wants to contine teaching this team, she loves these girls so much.

Pictures below taken leaving for Mothers Tea the next day after showcase. All the mothers/daughters/coaches and any other female related to dancer get to have a wonderful lunch next day where we celebrate the year and just enjoy each other. Its always fun and sad it was the last one.
What a wonderful 18 years it has been with Lucy dancing. Shes amazing. I cant wait to see what the next stage of her life brings.
