Last weekend saw us going to St George for the weekend for the end of year showcase. On the saturday morning Lucy and i got to go to the mothers and daughters luncheon at Pasta Factory. It was really nice and it was great getting to meet the other mothers. Its very different then minerettes were where you lived in each others pockets for three years and so knew everyone really well by year end. With this team you only see all the parents together at year end, tho some go for homecoming and games once in awhile but never all together. It was nice getting to meet them and Lucy did a lovely speech which brought tears to my eyes. Then that evening we had the showcase. The dances were all just amazing. We loved all the routines. Ralph did the opening prayer, nice that in some schools its not a deadly sin to still do stuff like that, lol. Then the girls were escorted on and did a dance with there escorts before they did there routines. It was fun seeing the routine Lucy had taught the Rebs, also it was fun having her dance studio she teaches at there doing a routine. I couldnt believe how great it was and what a great competion team Lucy has been teaching all year. Her little dancers are so cute. It was fun to see two sides of Lucy that night. Lucy dancing herself with the Rebs amazing us all and then Lucy the teacher and seeing what she is doing in that area. She has so much talent she always amazes me. She has the whole package. The high light of the evening was when they named the new presidents/captains for next year, it comes with a full scholarship so of course everyone wants it. And Lucy was one of the two presidents/captains. She was so thilled. She had been captain her last year at local motion before she went on minerettes and had always been sad she hadnt made it on that team. It had seem very much who was friends with who at the time and her last year they had choosen some juniors instead of seniors. (not that the seniors didnt deserve it that were officers) but anyway she had always felt like she hadnt been allowed to show what she could really do and strange enough shes the only one out of that year that is still dancing, none of the officers did carry on after high school. So i think that just made this double the pleasure for her. Shes thilled that she will get a chance to run the team and show what she really can do. She has really blossomed out as a dancer on this team and feels like she can really be who she is. So weve just thilled for her. Her room mate and best friend Miranda made the other president postion with Lucy (she was on davis drill team in hs) and Hailey a local girl from st george made secretary. She is just thilled with the three of them and they are all friends she hangs out with and gets along great with. Anyway heres some pictures. We had a super weekend and didnt even mind driving home in the snow the next day.

The new officers with there coaches. Kori in the red has been teaching the Rebs for 16 years since she left the Rebs herself. Kristy in blue has been teaching them for eight years and also teaches the cheerleaders too. They are both such great role models for these girls i cant say enough good about them. They really treat these girls like there daughters and will do anything for them. Kori is an amazing person and will often text me and always calls me darling, lol. Shes just awesome.
Yeah lovely one here. lol. I guess its what we look like most of the time!!!!!!!!!

This is Lucy with two of her dancers and the lady Julie is the director of the Southern Stars which is the competion teams Lucy teaches. The girls were thilled to see there teacher (miss lucy) dance of course and there was lots of screaming and yelling for her all night.
This was Lucys escort, sorry i cant remember his name, lol. Her dancers told him they were going to kill him if he didnt treat her right. Lucy thought that was so funny as she was only having him escort and dance with her that night, there certainly not a couple. lol.
