Dinner and Late Mini Shower

Last Dece we had planned on having a mini shower for Carole to celebrate the upcoming little princess Leanna. Just for our own family. Well i had even thrown a date our in Jan that we could do it and Wham, she came six weeks early. Not only that, but she was put on house arrest for four months due to being high risk for RSV. She had the three shots for that at a thousand a piece but still needed to avoid people as much as possible and in fact still is having to stay home for another month or so. But anyway we were able to do the very late shower on sunday. Everyone was healthy and so they risked coming over for dinner and the mini shower. We made her our traditional fake cake. (im sure yourve see the ones we made Leland and Jayson). As shes now older i used bath towels in hot pink instead of blankets for the base. And we used vests and PJ for the middle. The top we found a cute teddy for her. She also had cute gifts and yeah it was late but it was still nice to do. Here are some pictures of the dinner below. Hayley and Lucy were unable to attend due to being away at school and Dan had to work but everyone else was there. Oh the ribbons are real little girl ribbons so they can re use them also.

I think Leanna likes her Nana!! If she dont know i know she will as she is going to be one little spoiled princess. I was going to be grandma when Leland was born and then when my mum died i thought i would take her name which was Nanny. But Leland has been refering to me as Nana. Sooo i think the first grandchild gets the right to choose my name for the many im sure grandkids we will have. So Nana it is.

Its funny its like looking at Lee and Jay at that age all over again. Leanna looks just like her mama. Tho theres no doubt her and Leland look alike.

I love this picture. Leland thought it was so freaking funny that Leanna slid over. lol. Look at his face. lol. Jayson is smiling because i put a pooh bear on his dads head (who was taking the pictures). It got him to smile. lol.

Lee and Carole. We had a yummy dinner of roast beef, roast pototoes, yorkshire pudding and veg. And a wonderful strawberry shortcake cake.

Leanna, Almost four months old and around nine pounds now. Still looks like a little doll.

Leland got to sit with the help of a large book on a big boy chair (as Jayson now has the high chair). Hes another boy that can put his food away. He also has his own special little plate at Nanas house.
It was a great day with our wonderful family. Love our kids and the grandbabies.
