It was the last ever home football game last night for lucy and i know i should have been feeling some sadness right? Am i a bad mother for just feeling sooo happy that this was the last time i had to get off work three hours before the game started. To stand in line and when the gates open to run as fast as my fat body will let me up the ramp to get a seat! And then to have to listen to the football parents (and sometimes minerette parents) throwing a fit over seating!!! Its just insane. Really!!! When the school invested in a new field and Ron Thorne invested in the new score board they really should have also put some dollors in up grading the home seating that was built and designed around the school in the 70s. If they did they could pull in properly double what they do already. I know why the seating is how it is that your never see me at another game again now i dont have a reason to be there. So because of all that stress and truma of my running up a ramp at my age i am very glad this part of the minerette year is way over for lucy. Yes it is sad shed never be out there again with the minerettes doing pre game and out there dancing her heart out (at sometimes boos and other not so nice things by the opp team) but im still glad that stress over seating is over!!! It really is totally nuts and insane!!! Really!!
But the girls did amazing. I love there hiphop routine this year. I didnt take any videos or pictures but i will try and steal some from someone and add them to this post when i get them.
Anyway next weeks football game should be the best of the year. Its against Alta and always is a very high level game. When they played together at bingham i didnt even go as parking was way down at harmons and smiths. Even tho i missed lucy dance. But this time its the semi finals and will be at the U, so although hard for the minerette parents to get together there is plenty of seating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
