What a great trip we had two weeks ago in vegas. Right before we left my friend Agaath surprised me with second row seats to the Don and Marie show which has been the best show in vegas for three years now. What an amazing friend she is! I had to drive down with her on the Thursday as ralph couldn't drive down to late afternoon and theres no way I could have made the show. I almost lost my voice on the way as we talked so much. We were so excited for our four shows that weekend. We got stuck in a roll over 40 miles outside of vegas and that had us in a panic when we didn't move at all for 75 mins. We finally got to hotel, check in, had 45 mins to get ready and we ran to the show hall pretty much from parking lot. We got to our second row seats, sat down and lights went out two seconds later, that's how close we were to getting there. Whew!! It was an amazing show of course. We were sad that our friend Debbie hadn't been able to go, Jay had invited her down but her daughters softball team made region so she couldn't go. Jay invited another friend Karen down so all was well.:). Ralph arrived late that night like one pm and first night was over. Next few days were amazing. Meeting the brothers, meeting old friends, new friends etc etc and of course the shows were amazing as ever. Dad also arrived from the UK and him and ralph had fun doing some exploring different places. Will blog on that later. We met Jays friend Karen who is really nice. I was lucky to be able to talk to jay via text msg and phone calls, tho had to keep quite from the other fans. Those were due to agaath and I being able to attend church with jay, Karen and his son eric. It was his mothers birthday (although shes been gone for ten years now) and it was a very special church meeting for me to be in church that day with the person that first brought me the church. I had a hard time keeping dry eyes as did jay. The fans luckily all went to the wrong ward and had no idea we had lucked out being invited with them. We were pretty spoiled as always, lol. Before show we had told jay where we were sitting so he was able to come out and give us hugs, which he did. Yea we are spoiled. Love those show hugs. There was also an after show party we attended which was a lot of fun. So yea just tons of fun all around. A wonderful five days and I hope theres many more shows like this. We had a blast. Oh Alan whos pictured above also came and sang fri night with his brothers, how special was that! So was nice to meet him again and his beautiful wife Suzanne. Yup, just another fun event behind us. Looking forward to the next one which will be all the way in Kansas with my friend Ashley and Marcia and Karie above.
