Dog Swimming Day

This morning was a different kind of day. It was dog swimming day before they close for the year. We took Togo and Heather took Gracie. It was pretty funny to watch, these pictures were taken before it got crowded. There ended up being around 70 or so dogs there and they were so much fun to watch. They all got along and had a great time running around and playing in the water or on the grass around the pool. Togo has never done anything like that. Hes our 101 pound Golden. He didnt care for the water at all really but it was his first time there. Here he is swimming for the first time in his life. He is four years old on christmas day. Dont you love his the way Ralph is keeping ahold of him. lol. Like that would save him if he couldnt swim. lol.

Heather and her dog Gracie. She is a pro at swimming having lived in Lake Powell when she was a puppy and so loves the water and water games.

Gracie diving in.

Gracie swimming back in.

Ralph trying to get Togo to like the water.

It was a lot of fun tho and he did really good for his first time in that kinda situation. We plan to contine taking him to the regular dog park to get used to being around other dogs and also next summer to take him to Yuba lake. He seems to enjoy traveling around with us in the car now. Ralph was pretty digusted that there was a dog there called Ralph! lol. He gave me a dirty look for some reason every time they called out Ralph to there dog. Like its my thought!!!!! He has his parents to thank for that one. lol. There were so many breeds of dogs, i loved the huskies and the great danes and really really loved the boxers, they are one cute dog. I may be very tempted when our sweet little Abby who is coming up to 13 years hits the bucket. lol. Anyway it was a very fun day and enjoyed talking to people about there dogs. People that love animals are the best kind of people to talk to.
