Well the girls went straight from showcase into tryouts for the new team. Although not trying out the seniors had to help the coaches with tryouts. Its pretty much the last thing the seniors have to do. The results were posted at 9.30pm on friday night. The seniors had to post them. It didnt go quite the way that was expected in fact the seniors were crying when they saw the list they had to post. Three girls from the old team that tried out again for the new team did not make the cut this year. It was very hard for the seniors to post the list. I wasnt there but thanks to Natilie for sending me these pics she snapped. Usually theres more celebration and the girls from four years all get a pic together, in fact i posted last years on here from the tryouts then. This year most of the seniors inc Lucy did not do the final picture. Natilie sent me a very nice email telling me how impressed she had been with Lucy. She said when everyone and the seniors were all standing around not knowing what to do due to the un expected results. Lucy was the one who stepped up and told the seniors. Hey we need to be outside with the girls who didnt make the team this year. So most of the seniors left to support them as it was very hard for them. I cant imgine Lucy having gotton her state ring one day and having the thill of being a state champion and then finding out your off the team the next day. Its not my call to question the coaches so i wont. But my heart has been breaking for the three girls all weekend. They all become like out daughters and i know how hard it is as a mother when your child is hurting and i cant imgine what there going though. I hope they will be able to move on and try out for dance company next month. But i cant imgine the shock there going though. I know what it would have done to Lucy had it happened to her. But due to Natilies email i am thilled that Lucy stepped up in there hour of need. Natalie told me how much she loved Lucy and what a wonderful job we had done rasiing her. I am going to miss the other mums so much they have been a big part of our lifes for three years. But i know Lucy and i will be hit up for fundrasiing, lol and weve be there supporting them at most of there events. Its been a wonderful thing for Lucy and im glad she was able to be a minerette. It has taught her so much, lessons i know that she will carry on into her life. Weve all excited at what the next step of our lifes will bring. Lucy has tryouts next month for Dixies drill team. Although i know in the past they have picked local girls over more skilled dances from out of town weve excited for her to try out. We hope she will make it, but if not then she will try out for there dance company which is also very good and Lucy would have a lot of fun at. But life is good and weve excited for the next phase of our lifes. Cory also is talking about trying out for the Riverton Rugby team next year so we could be trading in the blue clothes for purple ones. lol.
