Internet----Good and Bad.

This post kinda goes in hand with a post i did in august on freedom to have different opinions. The internet is a great tool. It allows you to reach friends from all around the world and to stay in touch. It allows you to talk and share views on things you might see on news blogs or personal blogs. Or just to share funny things you may have seen that day. Sadly it can also be used by some people to create problems. As many of you know i was the brunt of it during my recovering from surgery last dece. When it would have been nice to have just been recovering from that i had to deal with the slaunder being created instead. Then in august having just come back from visiting my mother who has brain and lung cancer and certainly would have been nice just to have been thinking about her we had to deal with it again. This time by someone tagging msgs to my daughters with there opinions on myself!!!!!! Someone they had till then always loved and admired. Tacky yes i know but thats the downsize of the internet. Now here we are again. Something i saw on a blog which i thought was funny we talked about on facebook. No ones name was mentioned of course and certainly not tagged and sent to anyones kids!!!! It was simply a movie review of which we all have and can have different opinions. The person whos opinion i wondered about was not even on facebook. But someone connected to all the other problems decided to create problems by making phone calls and blowing it up to something it never was. The plus side of the internet is that its there to defend you so you cant be blamed for saying something you didnt. Its right there!!! The good thing again with facebook is that you can block off people you dont want spying on you for the sole reason of causing problems and that of course has been done. So just be careful who you have as your friends on facebook, they may be there for the sole reason to watch what your talking about with your friends to see how they can create trouble for you. I know my daughter in law had it happened to her with some co workers and had to take a few off. Also my daughter by the same people had them taking bits and pieces of her life and gossiping about it and twisting it around by the time it got back to us. It happens and its a pain. As far as my blog. I refuse these people to push me into going private. If they have nothing better to do then to read it and gossip beween themselves so be it. Im certainly not going to lose any sleep over it. With my blog ive always had the feature to prevent people from leaving any comments that might hurt my friends on here. Its a sad world we live in when so many use the internet not as a way to connect with friends but to harm other people but thats the world we live in. My advice to them would be. If you have so much time in your life to worry about what other people are doing. Get a hobby, get a partner, get something to fill it. Then you wont have time to worry about what other people are doing. I will contine to talk with my friends on facebook about what we decide to for the day and its no ones business. Anyone creating problems will be taken off. With my blog its my blog and i can put what i want on it. For those that dont like it dont read it!!!!!!!!! For anyone that dont want people thinking there blog is funny. Then dont post it or go private. That way you can stay in your little make belive world where nothing bad can touch you. We all can blog about what we want to. Some may agree, some may not, some may laugh, some may talk about something they read in it on facebook. As long as say my name isnt mentioned or its tagged to my kids then who cares. Its the way of the world. Get over it or get off the internet.
Thats all i have to say. Hopefully i can go back to my little world now which just involves my kids, family, friends and all the other maybe silly to others but great to me life. And i can contine to blog just about things that rock our little world.
