UPDATE ON MUM

We had some great news today which we are just thilled about. Mum had a body scan on Monday to check her lung and also to make sure all was well everywhere else. Of course its been a big worry for everyone this week. Anyway the results today were that everything looks great and the tumor in her lung is getting smaller and the chemo she had is working like they hoped. Then the even better news was that her doctor is being able to put her on another form of treatment which is pill form. What that hopefully will do is break down the cancer in her brain. We are just thilled about this. Of course we know its cancer weve dealing with but am so thilled that she has this chance. Her doctor feels very sure this will work for her and she will be with us hopefully a long time. Its been a wonderful day we certainly feel like she deserves all this its been a long long year for her. Im very very grateful for the wonderful health care she is getting and even more grateful that although very expensive she does not have to worry about paying the bills. I guess the pill alone costs thousands and im grateful her doctor is putting her health before the costs involved in her care.
We are really looking forward to having her here at christmas and having all our family together. She has so much family over here wanting to see her and a great grandbaby that she cant wait to meet. Its going to be a wonderful christmas.
Thanks everyone for your prayers i know thats helped the outcome today. Like ive said in other posts im a firm beliver in miracles and i really belive this is one of them. Please keep the prayers going as she could use them while she contines the rest of these treatments. Thank you so much.
